GRAHAM HENMAN
Graham is an Englishman who started out as a commercial photographer in the UK and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a directing career.
He co-founded HKM Productions, a highly successful television commercial production company that is still going strong after 26 years in business. Graham has directed classic spots for Coke, Pepsi, Miller Beer, Budweiser, GE, Nintendo, Suzuki, Ford, Volkswagen, HP, McDonalds, American Airlines, MCI, GTE and many other leading brand names in his long career.
From the beginning, Graham’s directing career skyrocketed, earning him award after award, including a Gold Lions at the International Advertising Film Festival in Cannes, France.
Graham is also a partner/owner in 2 other successful production companies, Rockfight and The Directors Bureau.
He is also a co-founder and owner of Asylum Visual Effects in Santa Monica. A high end, post visual effects facility that has been nominated for 3 Academy Awards for ‘Black Hawk Down’ – Ridley Scott, ‘Master and Commander’ – Peter Weir and ‘Moulin Rouge’ – Baz Luhrmann Graham still directs television commercials, manages the production companies, nurtures the careers of his other directors and advises on progress at Asylum.
As advertisers explore new and more creative avenues to get their brands noticed, Graham has become increasingly busy in solving their needs while creating greater opportunities for his directors within these new formats of branded content.
