Robert Avila is a freelance arts writer based in San Francisco and Montreal. A regular contributor on film to the San Francisco Bay Guardian since 2001, and on theater since 2002, his work also frequently appears in the online film magazine SF360, a publication of the San Francisco Film Society and Indiewire.
