He has directed the films Paris Trout, Waterland, A Dangerous Woman, Losing Isaiah, and Homegrown. His award winning TV movies include: Killing in a Small Town, Promised a Miracle, The Warden, The Warden at Red Rock, The Patron Saint of Liars, Resurrection, Leap of Faith and the mini-series Family of Spies and Living with the Dead.
His first book of poetry, Claptrap: Notes from Hollywood was released last year by CantaraBooks, and is available at Barnes and Noble. Or better to purchase at AuthorsBookshop to support small independent presses.
He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, screenwriter, Naomi Foner. They have two children.
