As spring blossoms, Old Man PAH will travel to sunny CA to the Santa Cruz Film Festival (April 20-28), where we will present mini PAH-FEST Cellphone Art. Surrounded by the beautiful beaches and mountains, Santa Cruz, which showcases a wide range of local, national and international films, will nurture unique and diverse voices of Cellphone Art.

The topic of the Cellphone Art Competition is "SANCTUARY"

Judges

JANE SULLIVAN

Jane Sullivan has worked for the past 20 years attracting and promoting talent in a myriad of forms. Producing and creatively directing film, art, photography, events and book projects from concept to finished artful product is one of her many passions. She managed the non-profit The Advertising Photographers of New York, (the for profit) Alex Gallery (Persian and Iraqi Antiquities), and Michael Ingbar Gallery of Architectural Art all in New York City. She spent a year writing art reviews at The Sydney Independent Weekly in Sydney, Australia. She has produced two books for Chronicle Books for the San Francisco non-profits Leap…Imagination in Learning and PAWS (Pets Are Wonderful Support). She has produced award shows for The American Institute of Architects SF and a lecture series in conjunction with SF MOMA and the AIASF. Jane is currently the humble Founder, Exec. Dir. and chief bottle washer of The Santa Cruz Film Festival. www.seebrightproductions.com

MIKE GENDIMENICO

Mike is a 20-year veteran of Intel Corporation, providing technical marketing expertise in Developer Relations, DVD Market Development, Media Research, Digital TV, and most recently, the Digital Media & Digital Home divisions. Mike holds multiple degrees in Electrical, Electronic and Music Engineering from Penn State University and Cogswell Polytechnical College, and is the Co-founder and Technical Director of Think Digital, a start-up DVD & film Production Company. He has produced several DVD projects and is Associate Producer and Still Photographer on Skin City, a feature length documentary. Mike has served on the SCFF Board of Directors for the past four years and as a speaker at the Cinequest Film Festival for the past five years. He recently served as a technical mentor for the American Film Institute Digital Content Lab and also supports the Bridge School as a technical consultant and advisor. Mike's awards include technical recognition for the first-ever Film Industry Digital Cinema award at Cannes, as well as numerous contribution awards for new microprocessor introductions, executive keynote speeches and media tradeshow technology demonstrations.

NICOLAS PAINE

Since graduating with honors from the USC School Of Cinema-Television Nicolas has worked as a screenwriter and producer on a wide range of projects including feature films, episodic series and television commercials. As a writer he has developed scripts for Trimark Pictures, Full Moon Entertainment, Warner Bros., Columbia Pictures and PlasterCITY, as a producer he has worked for Image G Prod., Paramount Pictures, Fox and Nickelodeon and has completed over 100 commercials and music videos for a variety of Los Angeles based production companies, many of these with a visual effects emphasis. He also conducts a series of writing seminars in Central and South America designed to encourage positive creative exchange between neighboring cultures. Nicolas is a New York City native and a member of Writers Guild Of America, West.
